The New Orleans Pop festival was held on Labor Day weekend, August 30-September 1, 1969, just two weeks after the Woodstock Festival. The event was held at the Pelican International Speedway in Louisiana. Twenty six bands performed including seven that had also played Woodstock. The event was attended by 25,000-30,000 people.
