The Meramec Caverns barns are iconic Route 66 advertising landmarks.

In the 1930s, Meramec owner Lester Dill offered farmers free barn paint in exchange for painting "See Meramec Caverns" or some variation of this on their property. At one point there were over 400 barns across 14 states advertising the Meramec Caverns but fewer than 50 of these historic billboards survive today.

This particular barn is located in Warwick, Oklahoma and is a great example of old-world Americana.
